The ocean is only about 50-100 metres away and restaurants, night life, supermarkets, buses and taxis are a short walk or drive away.The villas are set on the Amarilla golf course, set apart from the noisy hustle and bustle of the main tourist areas. But this seclusion is complimented with a generous smattering of good eateries just a short walk or drive away. These include Italian, Spanish tapas, Indian, steak-house and international restaurants, 2 small bars and an authentic fish and chip restaurant that cooks fresh and delicious food on demand. Also nearby is a fresh coffee, croissant and ice cream bar, a beach wear and souvenir shops, bicycle hire and money exchange.
A little further out and a 5 minute walk you will find the nearest cash dispenser, small supermarkets and an Irish pub/restaurant. If driving, then more amenities are well within a 5 minute drive such as sports shopping outlets, banks, Iceland superstore, Burger King, McDonald's and large Mercadona and HiperDino supermarkets (equivalent to Morrisons, Sainsburys, Tesco etc.)Also a cosy day/night-time outdoor plaza called 'San Blas' is within 5 minutes drive (10 minute walk) with many more cosy shops, a duty free shop, tobacconist, late-night pharmacy and medical centre, and 2 supermarkets. For restaurants there are Chinese, Indian (4), Italian, English and Spanish, and 10+ small bars/pubs/sports-bars with TV screens to hangout. Live entertainment most nights from 8 till late at alternating bars (acts include northern soul artists, Motown singer, Elvis, country & western, Karaoke singers etc.)
In the winter months most bars have outdoor heaters to keep you warm as the dip in temperature at night can feel chilly although most nights are still bearably mild (18°C) before 12am.
A further 15 minute stroll from San Blas, past a beach is the charming and picturesque fishing village of 'Los Abrigos', famous for its fish and seafood restaurants.
